     This oval vessel has 
a depression in its base,  
in which there is a spur 
mark.  Such pale brown 
spur marks  are  normally 
referred  to  as  "sesame 
spurs." On the interior 
of the vessel there is a 
subtle frog motif in 
veiled decoration.  This 
piece may well have been 
used as a brush-washer.
